In April of 1997, Michael Pomranz received his very first multitrack recording device -- a Yamaha 4-track -- for his 18th birthday. Between May 1997 and sometime in 1998, Pomranz put out nine cassette tape EPs before suddenly abandoning the project. He played all the instruments and recorded, mixed and mastered these EPs himself with little experience.
Of the 72 songs recorded during this period, these selected tracks are some of the best and/or Pomranz's favorites. In compiling this retrospective, he tried to include tracks from as many of the EPs as possible -- so his apologies if a couple of these tunes suck more than the rest.
